Conn's Appliances Complaint - Conn's Bad Repair Service
HURST, TEXAS -- We purchased a Maytag washer approx 3 years ago and have had service since the 2nd week, all variations of the same problem, until now. After the 3rd repair call I told the repair person to see about replacing the washer, which was never done. The washer shakes, makes overly loud noises, and then started not draining. The timer was broken. About the third repair call all the springs had to be replaced which hold the tub. The washer vibrates and "walks" and you have to stand and hold it when it goes thru the spin cycles. The last visit was to replace the timer (or whatever) as it would go straight from wash to nothing. Just leave the clothes sitting in dirty soapy water. The repair person came back and replaced this timer and they started a load of clothes - all is well. Ok, not so. I just started to wash clothes, the first since his visit, and the knob/timer whatever doesn't even work now. It will not turn over to the wash cycle. So here I sit with a tub full of dry dirty clothes.
My previous washer lasted 20 years and this one will not even last 4. Oh, the repair person said there is nothing to be done about the vibrations or "walking". I will do whatever I can to keep anyone from buying from Conn's or buying from anyone who uses their repair people, as they obviously are not trained or just don't care.
