Motel 6 Complaint - Ruined a Honeymoon
VANCOUVER, WASHINGTON -- My daughter was married on March 13 2009. They decided to spend their honeymoon in the Vancouver Wa./Portland Ore. area, so we got them into the Vancouver Wa. Motel 6.
The decision on this motel besides the price was its amenities: Indoor pool, hot tub and in their room a jacuzzi tub. Upon arrival, not only are they told the indoor pool and hot tub are out of service, but that their jacuzzi tub also does not work.
These kids, age 19 and 20, having never stayed in a hotel before get their honeymoon ruined by a indifferent franchise. When I called to make a complaint, the mgr. Teresa could give a rat's ass. Instead of offering a full refund she offers the kids a partial refund. (After telling me on the phone that she would refund the FULL price, she takes advantage of these kids) I think what she did was make a full refund, then kept half for herself.
When they went to go to another motel 6 that one decided they wanted 107 for a room they advertise for 52.99. So I call their complaint line and is met with indifference. Oh I'm sorry sir, there is nothing we can do for you, they are a franchise and we have no control over them.
So you can rent the name Motel 6 but you don't have to worry about running its name in the dirt and motel 6 corporate doesn't give a rats ass about its patrons as long as they see the almighty buck.
It will be a cold day in hell before I or anyone I know will set foot in this god forsaken company. I used motel 6 religiously on all my trips until now.
Because of Motel 6 ruining my daughter's honeymoon, they have lost a long standing customer. And by ruining her honeymoon, they lost 2 more potential customers.
