Sprint Complaint - Legal Action
I have been dealing with Sprint now for 9 months in an attempt to close my account. I was charged upwards of $400 one month and I had enough. Alot of the reviews make mention of the underhanded tactics and terrible customer service already, but I wanted to reiterate how unethical and nefarious they really are. I was charged a termination fee even though my contract had expired, which they eventually took off my bill after extensive complaints. I stopped my service because I was so tired of all the dropped calls, the calls that never came through, and receipt of missed calls and messages days after they originally came.
So when I terminated my account, I asked for a payoff amount in order to be done with them. I paid some excessive amount in full and find out the following month that they charged an additional $170 for some other hidden fee. This was after I said "cut my service, I've switched to another company." This was after I had paid "in full." This went on for some time and they eventually cut my bill again and said I only owed $55. So I paid that. Can you believe they then had the audacity to then say I still owed $22? It never ends. I haven't had service with them for nearly a year now and they still send bills. I am so sick and tired of this thieving company. If I had the time I would be interested in seeking legal action against them for fraud, misleading consumers, and theft. Enough is enough. Where do these companies get off stealing from consumers? And where is the political process to protect consumers from this crap. I originally contacted the Better Business Bureau and they were completely useless. In fact, I still question why they even exist. They have no power, nothing.
The only other thing I have to say is that from previous experiences and what others have said: Verizon isn't much better.
