Nicor Inc. Complaint - Please Help!
We just received a Nicor bill for $445 for 364 days. Nicor claims that they switched the meter a year ago and never updated our records to reflect the new meter number. They said they estimated our payments for 364 days and that's the amount we paid. We had to call 3 times to finally have someone willing to transfer to a supervisor. And of course, no supervisor was available so we're expecting a call back. There's 3 meters attached to our unit, there's 3 units in our townhome section.
If one meter is not working, and another meter is marked with our neighbor's unit number...then there's 1 meter for 2 units????????? Huh? Can anyone help me figure this one out? What are my rights? What can we do?
