Vonage Complaint - Beware: Sent To Collections
We tried Vonage and had multiple problems. Twice they sent out someone, and both times failed to fix the problems. We cancelled. We received an email from Vonage saying they were charging our credit card $99 for the second service call (which they never told us about before). I called to protest. The man told me they would not be charging me for the service call, but they WOULD be charging me $118.46 for a disconnect fee. I WRONGLY assumed Vonage would either send me an email or charge it to my credit card, like they had been charging my monthly service fees. While I waited for it to show up on my credit card, I received a bill from a Collection Agency for the Vonage disconnect fee. When I called Vonage to find out why they had done this, I was told that they don't send out a final bill - a customer has to go on the website to their account to see if they owe any money. BAD WAY TO DO BUSINESS!!!!!
They sent me an email for the service call, why in the world didn't they send an email for the final bill?
