National Lotto Co-Operation Sweepstakes Lottery Complaint - The De-Lotto Scammer Is Back, And Worse Than Before!
A few months ago, I posted a review about the fake De-Lotto North American Sweepstakes Lottery on Shoppers, located at the following url (copy and paste into your browser):
Well, the same scammer is back, using the aliases of "National Lotto Co-Operation Sweepstakes Lottery" and "Premier Insurance, Inc.", and it is worse than before.
According to a local news agency, people got letters claiming that they won $150,000 in a sweepstakes lottery. Enclosed is a fake check for $4,987.85 (A picture on paper that looks identical to that of the De-Lotto scam) that would be deposited and the entire amount of the check would be wired to a "tax collector" to receive the winnings. (An authentic company would be able to deduct taxes from winnings without intervention by the user.)
Once again, people never entered a contest with this company, the envelope had with no return address with a stamp from Canada, and the letter itself had an address based in Ontario, Canada, just like the De-Lotto scam.
Be warned, the scammer is back, stealing more of your hard-earned money than before!!!
