Compass Dodge in Orange NJ Complaint - Terrible Experience At Compass Dodge
ORANGE, NEW JERSEY -- I called Compass Dodge to get information on a 2006 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer. Not only was the sales staff rude, but I was disconnected a NUMBER of times, once I finally got a sales representative I asked about some information including the price. They told me it was 13,995. I went to Compass Dodge to check out the vehicle, their was absolutely NO parking and was difficult to even get into the lot because of the number of cars. After speaking with a sales representative we went to go ‘find’ the truck. It took us 25 min because all the vehicles, which were packed into this lot like SARDINES!! The truck was marked as 23,000 and the only way to get the other price was to finance through them! (They advertised that their pricing is 'way below' Kelly blue book or NADA and the price they wanted for the truck is WAY MORE then what they recommend!!) The vehicle had scratches and dents on it from all the other vehicles being so close to each other they were getting hit and getting people bumping into them trying to get through the maze of cars, not to mention to take the truck for a test drive you had to move 8 other vehicles just to GET IT OUT OF THE SPOT!! Once I started the truck the check engine light came on immediately an they tried to tell me it just needed to be ‘serviced’ an needed an oil change, the navigation disk was missing and he said that they were ‘not responsible’ for the ‘extras’ even though they advertised it had nav. The truck was also advertised that it had ‘keyless entry’ but the truck had no remotes to it, just a basic key.
The ENTIRE experience from the time I walked in was terrible. I would not recommend this dealership to ANYONE!!!
