Orbitz.com Complaint - Never Book Your Ticket Through Orbitz!
I booked my international tickets through Orbitz because I believed in their reputation which is " always guarantee the cheapest ticket ".
When I found out the tickets were intensively dropped( about $ 400 cheaper ) comparing the tickets I bought 2 months ago. I called Orbitz for the refund policy.
Attention everyone ! You might not know that actually most of airlines have refund policy which will reimburse the difference. The customer service guys said there was nothing they can do because that's up to airline's policy. And I told them United Airline has this refund policy even tickets are non-refundable. I explained to them that the reason I couldn't call United because I booked through Orbitz, any changes I make will have to go through Orbitz. But these customer service guys are not consumer friendly, their robot-like training skills just tell you " sorry, we can't do anything about it ~ Sorry it's your loss ~ sorry, it's our policy ~
It makes me wonder how Orbitz has no shame to advertise their famous phase , " we will get your cheapest ticket, and it's guaranteed " .
Eventually, I canceled the ticket with Oribtz because the canceling fee I paid is stil saving me other $ 200. Then I directly booked with airline.
Do not book with Orbitz.com, go directly with airline website.
1) They are not giving your the cheapest prices as they promised.
2) They are not customer oriented, but profit oriented.
3) The canceling fee is $ 250, which $ 100 more than booking with airline.
4) The customer service will not help you because they don't care. Only thing they know for sure is to steal your money.
