Badcock Furniture, Hinesville Complaint - Horrible Management Team, Upper Management and Associates
HINESVILLE, GEORGIA -- When I first visited Badcock Furniture in Hinesville, GA I was impressed with the store itself. After having visited other furniture stores in Hinesville, this store had a different look to it. Having just transplanted from Southern California, we were still acclimating ourselves to the differences here in the South. Not having the multitude of choices for anything from food to clothing retailers to gas stations takes some getting used to! I thought we had found a store that we would use for the years that my husband is stationed here in the Army. I couldn't have been more wrong.
While we had no complaint about the actual furniture itself, the staff and management were horrible. My initial dealings went smoothly because I knew what I wanted and paid almost $2,000.00 (on my debit card) for it. It was basically a 15 minute transaction.
However, I had decided to return my first selection of living room furniture (not for a refund, but as an exchange) and was treated rudely and not even assisted by my original sales person. The end result of my transactions with Badcock was that of distaste. From the District Manager to the Sales Associates, it was a terrible experience. The Store Manager was rude and condescending and lied about the contact information when I said I would like to speak to or leave a message for the owner of the store, the Assistant Manager never called when he said he would and then lied about my order - because it was never placed to begin with, and the District Manager tries to work the good ol' boy Southern charm but in the end, comes across as the stereotypical used car salesman.
Customer service is obviously not a top priority once a sale is complete, nor is treating a person with common courtesy or respect.
