Best Buy Complaint - Best Buy - Geek Squad
LUFKIN, TEXAS -- I dropped my laptop for repair under the extended warranty purchased from them. I had a low battery life issue & the computer was stuck in a loop.
I received an email that they needed more information - so we decided to drive up there & talk to them in person.
The same guy that checked me in, was checking us out. The cord had a kink in it. My hubby asked what about the loop? Then the GS guy tried to start the computer - still in a loop. My hubby talked about the hard drive, he had tried to run a hard drive test & it failed. The GS guy repeated the test & it said no hard drive found. So he opened the puter & there was NO HARD DRIVE. He looked at us & said I don't know what to say, let me get the manager to call you tomorrow.
Tomorrow came & went.
We called - everyone I have spoken to at that store has said - you need to bring your hard drive here. YUP they are telling me I took the Hard Drive out!!! Personally I don't know HOW to do that. Besides why would a person remove a part & take something in for repair???
So I'm hoping that their customer service helps - so far it has been 5 days...
My best guess - the people that are answering the phone are covering someone. And additionally I did a web search - there has been problems in the past of computer hard drives replaced at BB being resold... Now I feel not so safe....
