The Whirlpool Cabrio Washer
4 New Drain Pumps - Complaint
WARWICK, RHODE ISLAND -- Where should I begin. It's been a long journey with a brand new washer I bought about a year ago. I have had nothing but problems with it from the start. The f1 button kept on lighting up on the control panel. I looked in the manual for a answer but their was nothing stated about that code. I called up the place where I had bought the washer and they connected me to the department that fixes the washer and they said it should be fine if I hit the cancel button twice it should clear itself and restart the cycle. It worked or a couple of times like that and so I was satisfied. I thought I was doing something wrong, like putting it on the wrong setting. Well that wasn't so I was doing everything right. But no one seemed to have the answer.
To make a long story short he washing machine flooded my redone basement 4 times. The drain pump went due to the fact that a penny was stuck in the pump and blew a hole in the well crafter hard plastic pump it was made out of the best material. NOT......... You figure that you spend over $1.000.00 on a product that it would work. What happened to metal parts. A penny shouldn't brake a washing machine. My old washer withstood screws change and even toys, It was old so I got rid of it. I should have kept it.
You know the saying why fix something that is not broken. My eyes got the best of me at the store. I thought by having a new really cool looking washer that you could put a queen size comforter in would be a great investment. I thought I would save myself some money not having to go to the laundry mat. Was I wrong. Instead it cost me 2 brand new floors in my downstairs and $400.00 in drain pumps. I will never buy a whirlpool product ever again. Just to let you know my washer is still not fixed it now won't even drain or turn on.
I called the appliance man and he said it would most likely cost me another $400.00 for a new electrical board. Well I don't think so. I'm so done fixing this machine it's a piece of junk. My son has better made toys than this washer. Good luck to everyone who has a Cabrio washer by Whirlpool. I hope you have better luck me.
