LYLE, WASHINGTON -- In February, my husband and I took a vacation in Cancun and when we got off the plane, a resort representative hustled us over to a Palace Resort representative who proceeded to offer gifts etc. for listening to a 90 minute talk. We were shown rooms at their 5* motel and told about all the great advantages of signing on to their vacation package. It all sounded great. We ended up signing on. When we got home, we went over the contract and realized it was just not good for us as seniors. We don't travel enough to take advantage of the plan. It was still very expensive for the rooms even though we were already paying a huge amount for the plan. We paid one half of full amount, down payment of almost $6000 and promised 2 free wks after paying in full, a few months later. We made several calls to Palace Resorts and were put off each time. We would be contacted within 48 hrs. They never called. Finally they gave me the e-mail address of the manager. I sent several e-mails. Never got a response.
I told them I would be posting negative reviews. All to no avail. Here I am....feeling preyed upon, out of a lot of money and helpless to do much other than advise others to not buy into their resort plan. They are out to get your money.
