FEP BCBS Complaint - Getting Justice

Review by Redboots on 2009-03-29
PORTLAND, OREGON -- BCBS is refusing to pay any claims for my elderly Mother who is an Alzheimer's patient. BCBS states that they mailed my Mother a Questionnaire about other health care insurance coverage and it wasn't returned. I guess they think she's beginning a new career and has other coverage. My god, how weak!

When one is sick or incapacitated, fighting these folks can appear to be an insurmountable obstacle. State insurance commissions are most often mutual admiration organizations, staffed by former insurance agents. There is one thing that is very effective in getting the attention of these businesses, and thats PICKETING. It makes everyone in the building uncomfortable, passersby take notice and attracts the media to your plight.

Have someone help you develop a web page for your state, attracting other folks who have been defrauded (almost everyone) by insurance companies. Ask for others with similar bad experiences to assist in the picketing. Boots on the ground works!

Did you attempt to contact the National Insurance Crime Bureau? Their website is https://www.nicb.org/

Who is designated as her power of attorney or her medical power of attorney? They should have made sure it was returned if it was required for coverage.
