Whirlpool - Disappointed With Service
Whirlpool Drop In Electric Range - Complaint
NEW HAMPSHIRE -- Upon cooking on the glass cooktop, we lifted the pot from the burner and had a chunk of the cooktop with our pot. We've had the range for less than a year. Dealing with Whirlpool repair service has been less than enjoyable. First you have to wait until an approved serviceman can assess the situation, then you wait until that serviceman submits their report. You call again only to be told that this is not a defect of the range so we have to pay for a cooktop replacement plus labor which comes to a quarter of the cost to purchase the range. The sad part is that the cost mentioned is actually 50% off.
Whirlpool has given the 50% off due to the inconvenience (which it is) but I think this is more of an admission of fault. If I could do it over, I would go with another brand who actually cares about their customers.
