Wal-Mart Compliment - Helpful Employee
GILBERT, ARIZONA -- On Saturday my sister-in-law and I went to Wal-Mart to buy a plastic kids pool. We saw one we liked on display in the front of the Home and Garden section of the store. It was $30 and had a cool little slide built in.
We went inside and asked an associate where another pool like the one outside was. He informed us they were sold out and the display was the only pool left. We told him we wanted to buy the display, but only if he lowered the price. We figured he'd knock a few bucks off. To our surprise he offered to sell it for $20.
We said we'd take it but it was too big to fit in my two door car. I called my brother and asked him to bring his van and told the associate I didn't want to buy the pool until I knew it would fit in his van. He said it was not a problem.
The associate was outside on his break when my brother arrived. The pool fit and the associate got up and took the tag off the pool to ring it up. I asked if his break was over. He said no. I told him to finish his break first. He said he didn't mind and went inside to ring the pool up along with other groceries we had.
I am amazed at the customer service I received from this employee.
He went out of his way for us and never made us feel like we were bothering him. I am going to go to this Wal Mart from now on.
