DirecTV Inc Complaint - Directv Doesn't Care About Customers No Matter How Long You've Been A Client. They'll Just Take Your Money
REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA -- I've had DirecTV since 2001 for one reason. For the NFL ticket since they are the only ones that offer it.
I had Comcast as my normal cable provider because I had HD and was leasing a box. I didn't want to BUY a new HD-DVR and still have to pay $10 per month for HD and another $10 for DVR service. And they say it's such a good deal, right?
So I only had the NFL ticket and the MLB baseball extra innings package for 7 years.
Then last season in 2008 on opening day I was ready to watch football but all I got was the blank screen saying that I didn't subscribe. I gave them a call and they said that I can no longer receive that programming without a base package. I told them I had had it for years and never had a problem. They said when you disconnect and reconnect a box they have to re-add your programming and at that point it wouldn't allow them to re-add my NFL ticket without a base package. I had to disconnect a box that broke and reconnect the one they sent me as a replacement. So what do I do? I was on the phone for almost 2 hours missing the first half of my game and the only way to turn it back on was for me to sign up for a base package.
So I did and now I'm paying $30 a month just so I can watch football 4 months out of the year while I still use my Comcast DVR. I hate DirecTV and can't wait for the NFL Ticket to be available through a different provider. What can I do??
