MSC Cruises Orchestra Complaint - MSC Orchestra - Food, Entertainment, Child Care

Review by JONSMOM2002 on 2009-03-30
FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA -- The food was terrible. The midnight buffets were all foods that had not been eaten the day before or later. The gala buffet was at midnight, no organization for guests. It was every man for him self. The food was mostly seafood. But it was not fresh. My son ordered lobster. It smelled awful. The steaks were fatty, the soups were mostly nasty.

The entertainment was very cheesy. The same 12 people did all the after hour entertainment. They were friendly, just not very funny.

The kids under 17 are free. But, you better not mind them being with you the whole day. Because, the italian women that work in the mini and junior clubs were hateful and only talked to the european children most of the time. My 6 year old and my 3 and 6 years old niece and nephew cried the whole time we left them there. I was not able to get any quality grown up time. I took my son to the sananna bar with me as did my brother and my sister whose kids also hated the kids program. I reported the kids club but got no response until I tried to leave my son on my last day at sea to get a massage. The papers I got under the door would give one time and the club would offer different. It was a mess. I will never cruise with them again.

However, the waiters and room stewards were wonderful. They were very capable and very friendly. Also, the photographer vladimir was wonderful and very yummy. He captured wonderful pictures of our trip. I given all of them a 10+. But the food I give a 4 and the childcare mini club I give a 3.

Cheesy entertainment on a cruise ship??? Off with their heads!

MM, somehow I knew that would get your attention. LOL

FOR WHAT WE PAID, THE FOOD AND ENTERTAINMENT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE BETTER. SERVING SMELLY LOBSTER AND LOW GRADE STEAKS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE EVEN FOR A CRUISE SHIP.

Can we please use our inside voices now?

Littleyaya, you hear those voices too? Thought it was just me.

JM, in the Internet world, you can't do all caps; it's considered bad manners because it's shouting.

The voices in my head always have good ideas

JONSMOM2002, you're absolutely right, the food and childcare should have been exemplary and you should have no complaint at all. Sorry your cruise was ruined.

Did you let the cruise line know that things were not up to snuff?

Thanks admin.
jons..there is a little thing at the top of the page of your browser that says view. Click on it. it says zoom, you can zoom in or out and it can increase the size of the font of the material you are looking at. I use it all the time. Beats the heck out of hollering.
