CALIFORNIA -- I spent $1400 on a Compaq Presario 3000 in 2003 and I've had one problem after another with it. The latest is I can't even get it to turn on! The start button doesn't work at all! When I took it to Best Buy they said it needed a new pin where you plug in the power cord, but they couldn't help me because I didn't buy the computer there. I've spent many, many hours on hold and waiting to talk to someone during all the problems I've had over the past 6 years and each time the person could hardly speak English and was difficult to understand. (problems such and the computer suddenly turning off in the middle of work I was doing, the screen flickering on and off, slow performance, ETC). The last two times I've called, the person just tried to tell me to buy a new HP computer.....I told them they had to be kidding - with such a lemon of a computer, why would I ever want to buy another Compaq/HP? He said it was my fault for not purchasing a warranty when I bought the computer!!!
HOW LUDICROUS AND INSANE IS THAT!!!!! THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES FOR STEALING MONEY FROM PEOPLE BY CREATING A PRODUCT THAT IS FAULTY AND THEN THEY EXPECT YOU TO SPEND MORE OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY TO GET IT FIXED OR BUY A WARRANTY FROM THEM!
