Bobs Discount Furniture Complaint - Don't Buy From Bob's Furniture
NEW JERSEY -- We purchased a bedroom set for our daughter and had to wait two weeks to get a Saturday delivery == ok, we'll wait. Come the delivery day the delivery men set up the furniture and then said nope - wrong stuff (looked right to me)and that they'd be back within the time frame with the right stuff. They of course never did and I waited for hours. Come to find out the delivery men lied saying the furniture was damaged, it was not. Then they come back to our door with no furniture wanting us to sign something saying it was damaged -it was not. The delivery man was extremely intimidating and insisted on using our home phone which was strange as he used his cell phone earlier.
Go immediately to the store. They can't schedule delivery after 3 because they don't take requests yet we waited all day for them!!!! Then I get a call with a date and time that I didn't request - call back to schedule and again another week out and they will not try to accommodate since they have terribly inconvenienced us.
I call customer service -- it doesn't exist!!! I call store, nothing they can go except it seems get you to purchase quickly and get you out the door before you realize you are about to be ripped off.
Needless to say our young daughter is terribly disappointed but we'll buy from JC Penney where we've spent thousands and they always treat their customers with care and respect.
I am going to post on every site - I am going to the better business bureau and everywhere I can think of. A company of this size with no customer service is in my opinion a sham!!!
