VirginMobileUSA Complaint - Virgin Mobile Not A Good Choice For Short Term Users

My family has tried to use VirginMobile for temporary inexpensive Mobile service when we return to the US from overseas for vacation and business. We have had many problems with the VirginMobile service. They have made it very VERY difficult to cancel phone service once you sign on. ( Their Customer Contact Center is one of the worst I've seen, and I'm in that business). Most recently, we asked them to apply $$ to one of our phones via credit card for an upcoming business trip. The transaction seemingly went smoothly until our return to the US and the phone didn't work. Despite the completed credit card transaction, they say our account is on a fraud alert for a reason that they will not specify, and will not activate the phone, and will not refund the credit card. They want hard copy of our information faxed to their back office and 72 hours to fix "the problem".

Well guess what, our business trip will be half over by then. We are disputing the charge with our Credit card company. Good riddance Virginmobile. You lost our business.
