Dish Network Complaint - Dished by Thieves
DRAKE, COLORADO -- Dish Network recently "interrupted" my satellite service, because I refused to pay some phantom $5.99 per month charge for the Home Protection Plan, to which they add late fees over the months, jacking up the total bill even more. I just ignored these fees, paid the $49.99 charge per month.
Being "interrupted" is a breech of contract, in my way of thinking, and THEY ARE IN DEFAULT. Dish can call me till the cows come home, I am now the owner of their equipment, and they will have to get a court order to come get it.
I originally contracted with Dish in March, 2008 for the $39.99 package, confirming three times over the phone with the Sales Rep that CNN and MSNBC would be part of the package. They are the only channels I watch.
When the Dish and Receiver were installed, No MSNBC. In other words, the Sales Rep lied. Three times lied to me.
When I called to inquire, the Dish response was there was nothing they would be willing to do, I would have to upgrade to the $49.99 per month package to get MSNBC. I bit the bullet and did exactly that.
When the installer was finished, he shoved this paper in front of me, said sign here, which I thought was an affirmation of taking possession of leased equipment, but was far, far more.
Then I start seeing these phantom charges, an additional $5.99 per month for " Home Protection", late fees for not paying these unauthorized charges, fees not itemized as to what they were for, unbelievable.
Then, I start seeing an increase of $7.99 per month, without notice, or hidden notice.
This is what I did folks: When they " interrupted" my service last Friday, I immediately canceled the credit card used for a deposit on the equipment so they can't unilaterally charge that card, filed complaints with the FTC, the FCC, my State Attorney General, my congressional representative.
Possession is Nine-tenths of the law. I have your equipment, you have breached the contract. Please file a lawsuit against me, because I want to get to the discovery process. Ruin my credit-rating, because I want there to be damage, and substantive evidence of a tort. Turn it over to a collection agency, and I will send the Cease and Desist letter. And when it shakes out, I will file a Federal lawsuit against Dish Network, aand at least have a chance to win.
Until you draw a line in the sand, and challenge these lying, thieving, predatory entities, NOTHING WILL CHANGE.
WE THE PEOPLE demand accountability for fraudulent misrepresentation. If you roll over like a lap dog, they will continue to steal from you.
I'm tired of this nonsense, and won't take it anymore. Let us shine the white light of truth on sanctioned Theft.
Bring it on Dish. I'm coming after you.
