Spencer Dry Cleaners Complaint - Spencer's Cleaners, Go Anywhere Else!

Review by billzxzme on 2009-04-05
ORLANDO, FLORIDA -- I dropped off 4 shirts for alteration and after TWO months and 10 visits my shirts are still not finished. I asked to talk to the owner and the ladies gave me the run around. Turns out the owner operates another shop and is rarely in town so the employees do whatever they want. In addition I dropped off a clean shirt to be pressed and when I got it back there were 14 small rectangles burned into the fabric.

I have not had my money refunded, the ladies working there didn't seem to care, and it was almost impossible to talk to anyone in charge... I will never use them again!!!

So they hold on to your property for two months and you never got it back, and another thing you gave them to clean was returned destroyed?

If you want it back, it should be in their store, and they should give it to you immediately. If they can't give it back, treat it as if it was stolen and file a police report. If the clothing was expensive, sue them in small claims court.

Ask for your shirts back immediately. If they can't provide them, do what "S.C." said and file a police report.

If they are in a shopping strip, you can also stand in the parking lot with a sign that reads "Talk to me before you go to X for your alterations and cleaning". ONLY tell the truth, NO exaggerating. When they see people walking away after talking to you, you will almost definitely get a response from them.

This DOES seem more like theft than like business...
