Travel To GO Complaint - Do Not Go To Presentations & Sign Anything With Travel To Go - Time Share Is What It Is--But They Misrepresented

Time Share Is What It Is--But They Misrepresented - Complaint
Review by Camelot on 2009-04-08
We went to a vacation presentation and specifically asked if it was a time share. We were told no. Now when we asked for our money back the Travel To Go company tells us that the company who represented them is no longer in business and they took our $2999.95. Now Travel To Go wants us to pay them $199. per year for something we don't want. We were interested in booking cruises and found that their slide presentation was grossly misrepresented. We could have done just as well at Travelocity or other Travel Agents.

We feel we were ripped off and now they won't return our money so I'm writing this to warn anyone else. Do stop--run to the nearest exit if you are approached by this company.

If you were concerned it was a time share, or some other type of sales pitch, why did you give them $2,999.95? You could have simply declined and walked away. If you signed something, gave them the money, and, in most states, the recission period has passed, you are probably stuck. Lesson learned on being a better consumer.
