DirecTV Inc Complaint - Directv Is A Thief
After having DirecTV for twelve years at my residence I asked that it be suspended. I suspended my service because I bought a new home 500 miles away and we have COMCAST which is great. We are now only using my previous address as a summer home (my reason for the suspension of services). At six months the representative informed me I had to turn the service back on. I explained that I didn't see why I couldn't use it. End of our conversation. Three days later they stole over $130.00 from my account. No warning, no letter, no phone call. When I called them they said I had cancelled! The representative stated I cancelled my DirecTV but told me it wasn't a problem he could suspend my services indefinitely. It was a lie! I let it go and three weeks later they stole over $420.00 more out of my account! They said it was for the receivers I was leasing. Again, no warning, no phone call, no opportunity to return the receivers first. When I called they decided to reverse all the charges, but stated it will take them at least 30 days to give me back my money! This is a Bulls**t company that thinks they own your bank account. They believe they can make withdrawals anytime without your permission or notifying you!
If they are wrong, they may return your money, maybe. You best believe it will be at their at convenience. Don't be taken! Go somewhere else for your entertainment, it's not worth the aggravation. They are Thieves!
