Verizon Complaint - Unfair Rules By This Company
Verizon offers two year contracts, which I took up in 2007. When it is time for the contract to end, I wanted to terminate it on the day when the contract expired (March 2nd). No, I was not allow to terminate the contract until March 19th, which is Verizon's billing cycle date. On March 3rd, I ported the number to another company and started using the service, still Verizon 'can't complete the porting until March 19th', which means even though I did not use their service between March 3 and March 19th, I still have to pay for it because of Verizon's billing circle. Also, Verizon conveniently forgot to stop billing me for the next billing cycle, so it took money from my bank account (autopay) again. If Verizon keeps such practice, how much it could have ripped off its customers, everybody paid for a half month of no service. Very clever rules in deed.
So, be ware of such schemes before you sign up with Verizon!
