Target Complaint - Damaged Products
WORCESTER, MASSACHUSETTS -- I recently purchased a Nintendo DS lite from Target just a couple of weeks ago for my sons 7th birthday. Unfortunately when I gave it to him(which had not been opened prior to his party)the Nintendo was the wrong color, two parts were missing and come to find out it was damaged(marred). When I went to return it,(I unfortunately had misplaced the receipt)thinking they would find the copy of the receipt on their computer since it had only been a week, they gave me a tough time and said not all records get put on their system(although I did use my credit card, so explain that to me).
They could care less that the system was damaged and that it came from the store. I am a typical mother with a 7 year old who is devastated and all they could tell me is that all their products get scanned and that could never happen. Well, I have news for anyone shopping at Target be weary of the electronic department and be sure to look carefully over any other products in case they are damage. Definitely do not loose your receipt, although it can happen anyway.
It was as if I was dealing with Robots each person I spoke to, including the managers repeated everything verbatim. Even the customer relations department on the phone and by email.
