Big Lots! Compliment - Bad Service, Bad Company

Review by Iamdave210 on 2009-04-13
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- I will never even in my life shop at Big Lots again. I don't know if this is at all Big Lots locations but the one I went to was the San Antonio store off of 410/Marbach. The girl in customer service was just beyond rude. She had a bad attitude and it made me feel as though my business didn't matter to them. I wish I would've known that working in such a horrible place could put you in a similar attitude. I hate Big Lots and I hate that [snip] girl...

I wish you had included more details. Big Lots is my sto'! I just love them, but our's is clean and well organized, and the people are very nice and helpful. Sorry you had such a bad experience.

Your post is not helpful at all and sounds more like just a rant, as it gives no details of your experience. All it says to me is tht you don't like the Customer Service rep at one Big Lots store. You wasted an entire post.

Unfortunately the lady in customer service is there for a paycheck. That's it! Unless she has some stock in the company or makes commission you are correct in saying your business doesn't matter to her. There are a lot of really nice and polite men and women out there that are naturally nice to the public and are perfect for their jobs. They get their paycheck and the joy of interacting with the public and helping them during their work hours. Many others just drone on doing their job and watch the clock for time to go home. Then the ones on the fence that are nice until someone horrid ruins their day and that's it. So don't fool yourself into thinking that for the most part these people suffer when you walk away in a huff, unless they get chewed out by their boss.

On behalf of all good cashiers I am sorry. I am the head cashier at a big lots and I do not tolerate this kind of customer service
