Jason's Deli Complaint - I Was Disappointed - Spicy Shrimp Gumbo and Turkey Wrap

Review by Amateras on 2009-04-13
WACO, TEXAS -- My family went out to Jason's Deli in Waco, TX on Good Friday.

I have been there often and love the salad bar, but I decided to try something new; Spicy Shrimp Gumbo. I was very disappointed. The shrimp were extremely mushy and the gumbo was very salty.

I took a bite of the wrap and the filling was delicious, but the tortilla was very hard and chewy.

Wonder if that's the same chain as the Jason's Deli here in AZ.

I stay away from salad bars. They aren't sanitary. The sneeze guard does nothing

I trust people not to sneeze all over my crutons...What i don't know doesn't bother me...lol

yaya - truer words have never been spoken. A person gripe is unattended kids at the salad bar...I've seen them sneeze and cough (and of course they're under the sneeze guard). Pluse they "finger" everything! Gross.

People who sneeze on salad bars would not make it onto my trust list.

Jason's Deli is overpriced low quality crap. (I meant no offense to crap)

yaya, there a few left. There was one close by my house that recently turned into an Asian all you can eat place...My daughter loves Sizzler because she can get an ice cream cone "all by herself"

All you can eat Asian restaurants scare me.

Posted by Anonymous on 2009-04-13:

I haven't eaten anything from an unattended salad bar since the day I watched a kid of about 5 pick his nose and wipe his finger on the raw cauliflower. Just thinking about it makes me gag.

My wife went to a Jason Deli in Atlanta and the broccoli and cheese soup was terrible and then I bit into my tuna sandwich and the bread was hard.Sometimes it's best not to mention anything to the manager because they will say Im sorry instead of showing customer service and replacing the order.E-mail is the best tool
