La Quinta Inn Complaint - Not Very Smart

ABUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO -- My wife and I Stayed at La Quinta Inn at Albuquerque NM 5241 San Antonio Dr in March 20 - 23 and when my wife and I checked out I decided to pay with cash but made the mistake and left with out a cash receipt. Upon making my card payment I had seen that La Quinta Inn charged me for the room again.

I called to get the charge off my credit card but was told with out a receipt that that would not be done, I then I asked the manager if looking at the video I can prove I had payed in cash but the manager wouldn't do it for me.

Never will I stay at La Quinta Inn. And learned a lesson to make sure to get a receipt but I thought that an effort would be made to help me prove I payed by looking at the video.

I stayed at a La Quinta Inn a few weeks ago. I was not impressed by any means. They were pretty cheap price-wise, so I guess I got what I paid for. The hallways were dark and dirty, my bathroom vent was falling out and hanging down and the room smelled kind of funky.

Worst part was my TV didn't work. Every channel said it was "acquiring signal". Once and a while I would get a grainy channel to come it. I gave up and read a book, which was probably good for me.

Lastly, I could not figure out why my internet connection kept going out. Well I figured out the internet modem in the room was wired in to the light switch by the room entrance. If I turned that light off, the internet would go out... Kind of funny once I figured it out... but it wasted a lot of my time.

Probably won't be staying at a La Quinta again...

Most videos that stores have are kept only unless there is a known problem ie shoplifting, employee theft etc.
Otherwise, they are just taped over.

A receipt might not have helped if they were out to rip you off. They could just claim it was forged, or that you asked for the cash back because you decided to charge it. These two things happened to me and my sister with different businesses.
