Century Tel - Scappoose, OR Complaint - Dishonest & Desperate! Illegal Practices

SCAPPOOSE, OREGON -- On March 26, 2009, I verbally authorized Comcast (with a voice recording) to port my telephone number over to Comcast (from Century Tel). During the first week of this request, Century Tel refused to port my telephone number over to Comcast. They said Comcast did "not" supply matching info, with the correct name & address they had on file for me (Cheryl Mallonee).

So I emailed Comcast a copy of my Century Tel invoice, with all of my name, address & account info.

Century Tel STILL refused to port the number over to Comcast, saying my info did "not" match the request.

We have been trying since March 26, 2009 to get this done. Today is April 13, 2009, and Century Tel will still NOT cooperate.

My bills are paid in full and I do NOT owe Century Tel any money at this time.
Please do what you can to stop this nonsense.

Century Tel already has a horrible reputation in my neighborhood. They have the worst customer service record ever. What they are doing is illegal! Please help!

Contact the Federal Communications Commission. They have no right to deny your request for illegitimate reasons.
