Remit2india.com Complaint - They Want Scanned Copied Of Your Social Security Number!!

Review by esha on 2009-04-13
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA -- I was taken aback when they blocked my account for the last 10 days. emailed the customer support, and no response. When I made a call: they said that my account has been blocked since I have not given a scanned copy of my social security number! Absurd. Why do the Indian office needs my social security number. There is a law to protect its misuse in U.S. They have my S. S. No when I opened an account, but they want a scanned copy!!!And NOWHERE ON THE WEBSITE DO THEY ASK FOR IT! To my this statement: the service person said: it is mandatory .. Hello, can I trust someone against whom I cannot even protest since S.S.NO is no law in India!!
