Hyundai Motor America Complaint - The Non-Existent Warranty
AVENEL, NEW JERSEY -- 2 years after buying my 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe my cars master cylinder broke causing me to lose my brakes. I had it towed to Route 1 Sansone Hyundai who blamed me for its breaking telling me that I put the wrong fluids in causing it to break. I told them that only my mechanic put in the fluids so how could they be wrong, he's been working on my cars for many years and I never had a problem before. After inspecting the car they tell me it will cost $2100 to replace not only the master cylinder but the whole brake system (which was not even ABS). I couldn't believe my ears. I then had the car towed to my mechanic who replaced the master cylinder only for $350. nothing else needed to be fixed. Following that repair my brakes worked fine and never had another problem. Why did Sansone Hyundai tell me I needed to replace the whole brake system when it didn't need to be done. And why did they not replace the master cylinder covered under the WARRANTY which was supposed to cover the car for 5 years 60,000 miles. The car was 2 years old and had about 25,000 miles!!! They r the biggest rip-off artists still sucking in the poor consumer who believes that they will stand by their warranty.
Well DON'T believe it. They're LIARS!!!
