Val-Mark Chevrolet - New Braunfels, Texas Complaint - Dealer Not Being Truthful To Avoid Repair
NEW BRAUNFELS, TEXAS -- I purchased a Chevy HHR in March of 08. Since that time, I have had it in the shop three separate times for brake problems. The first trip resulted in repair of uneven ware of brake pads. The second was a set of warped rotors on the rear of the car and the third was a warped rotors on the front of the car. I was told by the dealer that I would need to pay for that service. I did not think I should have to pay since it has been an ongoing problem. In the first brake incident, the Serviceman, told me that the pad were replaced due to uneven ware. Now that I have decided to pursue my complaint through General Motors, everyone in the Service department that I have spoken to refused to acknowledge that they replaced the pads due to uneven wear. They have even gone to far as to stated they had documentation to that fact, but when asked to produce it, they can not and reverse their statement by saying, they must have meant no uneven pull on the left. They refuse to contact GM and advise that the pad replacement was not a Goodwill gesture. Additionally, the service manager stated that the reason my rotors were warping was due to my driving habits. He has never been in my car! I can not get either General Manager of the dealership to contact me in regards to this matter. They will not contact GM back to discuss their reversal of statements.
I do not understand why they, specifically the service manager who has helped me a number of times, will not admit that he did state that the pads were replaced for uneven wear.
