H & R Block Complaint - IRS Red Flag
MIDLOTHIAN, VIRGINIA -- Welcome to the world of the income tax fiasco. One would think that a company with the long standing name of H & R Block, would be refined and reputable...I now join the ranks of those who are victims of the incompetent tax experts.
I got my first wake-up call in May of 2008, when the first letter from the IRS arrived. In short, an oversight on the part of my tax preparer cost me an additional 800+ in federal money and 200 in state money on my 2006 return.
Just last week, I received my 2nd letter. This time it was 2007. The same person has prepared my taxes for the last 3 years and I had been very pleased until now. Once again another simple oversight, but this one will cost me even more. Needless to say, I will never use H & R Block again. I won't go into the exact details of the oversight, but in essence, block 10 of my W-2 was omitted from my return and was therefore deemed taxable income. Not the case as my expenses more than offset this. But this caused me problems else where in the return. No I must fork out an additional 1200.00 after just having lost my job to a company lay-off. Sorry...you did not pay the additional 39.95 we're a piece of crap POM insurance policy. Why should I, you raped me on the fee?
Never again! Tell anyone and everyone to avoid H & R Block...their agents have no integrity! Not even a simple apology!
