Select Comfort Complaint - No Sleep - Sleep Number Bed

Sleep Number Bed - Complaint
Review by crap on 2009-04-20
MOORESTOWN, NEW JERSEY -- I purchased the bed for my wife who had just been released from the hospital. The bed was set up and after an hour or so, sank on one side.

(I was away on company business during this). After pumping it up again, she received the same results. My wife called and they sent out another pump (this took a week or so). My wife slept on the good side (I wasn't home). The pump arrives and we have the same exact issue! Long story short, they came and picked up the bed. Contact them stating that since the bed was defective, I shouldn't have to pay the return shipping charges. NEVER HEARD FROM THEM. Starting receiving bills, contacted them again, no response. Promotion over and I am charged interest on this bed. My wife contacted GE and they stated that they couldn't talk to her (She facilitated the whole deal of complaining and having them pick up). Sent letter to GE and Two emails to select comfort. Received new bill with late charge.

Read the fine print on back of letter stating that it was best to complain in writing and followed up with an additional letter to GE--No response. So that's where I'm at! Incidentally, we were out of a bed for three weeks!

So at this point, they are charging you for a bed that no longer exists. That is not right.

Contact your state's Office of the Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division. The Select Comfort headquarters are also accredited by the BBB so I suggest you file a complaint with them as well.
