Wal-Mart Complaint - Walmart In Livermore Sucks
LIVERMORE, CALIFORNIA -- I visited the Livermore, CA Walmart when I was visiting my aunt. I shopped and I got everything I needed. I proceeded up to the cashier registers where I like everyone else have to wait in line for about 10 minutes but anyways, when the cashier was done ringing my items up I had 4 coupons to use. Keep in mind my total was close to $120.00. She looked at my coupons and said she could not use them. I asked "why". She said " because the expiration date was cut off". I said well I just got them out of the newspaper this weekend and she still would not take it. I asked to speak to her manager. The manager came up and she said she could not except them. I told her that was the way I got it out of the newspaper. So after a few minutes of fighting, I said I would look for some more coupons for those items. So I came across some airwick coupons, that had the expiration date. So then the cashier found another reason she could not except the coupons worth $3.19. She told me that I had to get a warmer by itself. I told her it was the same product and it was a warmer and the oil was free with the purchase of the warmer but she would not except them. So I empty all the bags and said I would go back there and get the warmers by them self.
I proceeded to do that and when I came back up the cashier that was helping me had already left, so I went to another cashier. I went to this cashier, he rang me up, I handed him the coupons and paid. Then the manager lady comes over that I was talking to over at the other cashier register and said did I get the right stuff, I showed her and then she seen that I used a $10 coupon. So she asked what that was for and I told her the crest whitening strips. She then looked at the coupon and said he should have never took this coupon. I said well thats your problem. I was already rang out and my 6yr old daughter and me were ready to go. My mother was waiting in the car because she did not want to come in. So I said give me back my receipt and she would not. I then grabbed my receipt out of her hands and I told her that I had already paid for all my stuff and she had no right to hold me. She said well this stuff is not leaving. She had my daughter crying and I was shaking.
I then seen the customer that was behind me just standing near the door and I asked the gentlemen, did I pay and he said yes. He also gave me his business card and told me if I needed a witness he would testify because the lady manager was very rude and made my 6yr old daughter cry. She called the other supervisor and he came over. The gentlemen then asked him for the store manager name because he was going to call in.
Finally after them pushing the basket into me and making my daughter cry over a $10 coupon, they had to return everything. I decided I did not want any of their merchandise. They wanted to resell me it all back and take of the $10 coupon but after all that I didn't want anything from them. The funny part is I had a $37 gift card and they ended up giving me cash. So did they make out or what. They made me feel like a criminal. Also that wasn't all of it. The cashier decides that he should throw his 2 pieces in. He said " now I won't get a raise all because of you. I was nice to you and you were trying to commit fraud." Then it seem like he was going to come after me and they had to say " Steve will talk to you about it later." I shop at Walmart a lot and sometimes I wondering why because I have had several incidents.
This was the most embarrassing thing that could happened to you. I was treated like a criminal and I wasn't doing anything wrong.
