Days Inn Complaint - How Days Inn Steals Peoples Money
KILL DEVIL HILLS, NORTH CAROLINA -- I made reservations online for a one night stay in March 2009. Since it was a business trip, plans changed and I had to cancel the reservation. I followed the guidelines and tried to cancel the reservation two days before the stay only to be told that " I had a special rate, that was non refundable". I tried to fight it through Mastercard, but was informed that I had to take it up with the hotel. I called the main Days Inn customer service and lodged a complaint and was told that I would hear back from the hotel. Well that never happened. We usually only stay at Marriotts and have never had a problem cancelling reservations until Days Inn.
If you do make a reservation at the Days Inn use AAA or something else so at least if you have to change plans you won't be charged. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
