Ashley Furniture Complaint - Ashley Furniture A Waste
BEAVER, PENNSYLVANIA -- I bought a sofa and love seat 2/24/2007. By Feb 2009 they were falling apart. Its like sitting on 2x4's with a blanket on them. I contacted the President and CEO of Ashley. I received this form letter:
Thank you for contacting Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc. I am sorry you are experiencing problems with your Ashley furniture. We appreciate you sending your information for us to review. After discussing your situation with management, it was determined that your warranty period has passed. The cushioning warranty is for one year from date of purchase.
Although we cannot return, repair are replace your furniture for you, I'd like to offer a couple suggestions to help get your issue resolved. Consult either the yellow pages of your local phone book or a yellow pages website on the internet to find a repair service in your area. Any charges incurred would be your responsibility to pay.
Contact any authorized Ashley dealer in your area. They may be willing to order replacement parts for you. The cost of these parts is at the dealer's discretion." Sincerely' Amanda, Ashley Consumers Affairs.
Guess what, I have to pay. What a rip off! Wish I had seen this website before. I wouldn't have purchased this set. Now the frame is squeaking
