Idearc/Verizon Complaint - Rip Off

Review by orca27 on 2009-04-27
OREGON -- We WERE a storage business that was growing at an ok rate. We were then approached by Idearc. We were told by the representative (who still admits) that he could not only get us all of our invested money back, but also a thiry percent return. He was so nice and seemed so legit we changed our 10k per month campaign over to them. In '08 we lost 33 percent of our business. Our calls costing us anywhere from 500 to 1000 dollars to generate. When I pointed this out to Idearc they said they didn't guarantee their work. They expect us to pay in full for advertising they designed that isn't working. I suggest if you are considering using Idearc, after they tell you how they can build your business, ask them to put it in writing. That should help you make your decision.

We are now considering Chapter 11 to try to get out of this mess. BEWARE this is a bait and switch.

100% return on investment and 30% return on annually; yea, this sounds legitimate. Perhaps if you are this gullible, you shouldn't be in business for yourselves, so go ahead an file bankruptcy due to your greed and incompetence; just don't expect any sympathy from me.

WE use Idearc for yellow pages advertising and the bill is no where near 10K a month. It sounds like you got suckered into something bad.
