Bank of America Complaint - Stealing The Future, Stealing Today
BofA, after five years of having me as a happy, loyal customer, has arbitrarily decided to up my interest rate, change my due date, not send my bill, lock me out of online bill pay, assess late fees and force me to use the pay by phone service which costs another $15.00. Funny thing is, they did this the month after I started paying my balance down quickly (paying over 3x the minimum). Coincidence? I think not.
When contacting customer service (CS), they say their names so quickly I can't understand, refuse to state their last name, and claim not to have an employee number (no accountability). One CS representative took down my number to have a manager call me. No manager ever called.
I wish I owed them more money so that by not paying my bill it would send a message, but since I've been responsible and kept my balance low, I'm going to pay them off immediately and close my account.
My message to you is never do business with this desperate, unethical company. If they are acting like this, they must be in trouble. Don't invest in them and don't use their services.
Better yet, we should all cut out the middle men and lend to each other. NOLO.com has contract examples we could use and by collecting a person's SS#, you can always sue them if they fail to pay. Set an interest rate of 10% - 15% and you've got a good investment, the borrower knows they won't have to deal with random rule changes and we aren't constantly paying for the bank to make more money next quarter, and more the next... and the next.
Cut out the greedy middle man and get on with your life.
