VIP Travel Club Mexico Complaint - Biggest Deception Ever
CANCUN MEXICO -- On a recent trip to Mexico we were approached at the airport by a representative from VIP travel Club. After review what appeared a legitimate opportunity we agreed. We dive every year in Mexico in Cozumel and love it so we decided on a windy day ( large waves no diving) to travel across to Cancun where the VIP club was having a presentation. They did make us wear wedding rings. They must only want married couples.
Upon arriving we were told the presentation would be only 1 1/2 long then we would be treated to a couples massage. Six hours later and three salesman we agreed to a 10 year membership with 40 weeks. To sweeten the deal we were given a cruise and trip to Hawaii. I signed.
This was Tuesday. We never arrived back to the states until the following Sunday. On Monday, I receive a call from VIP going over my vacation package. It was nothing like I was told. I contacted American Express immediately to stop payment. I called VIP and they told me that I had 5 days to terminate. I immediately sent them a termination letter and expressed mail overnight to Florida and a VIP representative signed for it. 9 days from the time I signed the contract. I's screwed. I was suppose to terminate 5 days and they are not "responsible for any misrepresented or misinterpreted information". I wondered why they were always asking how long we were going to be in Mexico diving. Now I know. As besides I never did get a massage.
