Beefeater Complaint -
On Monday 11th June 2001 I was with my 5 yr old daughter in your premisis to order a meal and drinks, while in the process of ordering a customer entered the gents toilets only to find the toilet billowing with thick black smoke, the customer alerted the staff who proceeded to hand a fire extinguisher to this member of public, he again opened the toilet door causing himself harm and also the customers in the restaurant, no staff seemed to have any form of safety training, and also why was the fire alarm not raised.
I myself could see the hazard and evacuated myself and my daughter, we were left standing outside for at least a half hour, it was obvious with the fireman wearing breathing apperatus that re-entry was impossible,there was no communication from the staff to the customer, there was no muster point highlighted to us, no one seemed to take control.
To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following:
I would like a explanation why we were not refunded or given a complimentary voucher, but first I would like to know what the companies safety policy is and who has been on safety course for safety.
At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident.
