Hotwire, Inc Complaint - False Star Rating Coupled with Poor Customer Service
This was my third booking with Hotwire. The first saved me no money whatsoever. A walk-in customer in front of me paid exactly what I had paid Hotwire. The second reservation was ok; not outstanding, but good enough to try a third time.
The best hotel in the area I was traveling to was 2 1/2 stars. I booked the hotel and it turned out to be one of those listed as a 2 star. When I called the company, all I got was "we have disclaimers on our site" and "those are just examples of ratings". The worst part came when the customer service supervisor rudely told me that if I filed with the BBB (which I will do), the complaint will just be sent to Hotwire...and that Hotwire is in good standing with them. Maybe so, Hotwire...but there will be one more complaint filed against you.
Bottom-line: I will NEVER use Hotwire again, and I'll tell as many people as possible about my bad experience.
