Priceline.com Complaint - Rip Off
BUFFALO, NEW YORK -- Attempted to book a rental car- bid on a price $10 and the page kept coming up with declining because the bid was too low. I increased the bid by $2 and it still was declined- although it states on the right hand side I can get a rental car for $12 a day. well, it declined me once again and it said it would take a $15 bid- I didn't place the bid for $15 but in order to get out of the page (tried to x out and it wouldn't take) I had to initial I read that page.. so I initialed.. Well... I went back on to see if I could send another bid but it declined me stating I submitted a bid within the last 24 hours.. ok that sparked my curiosity.. I went to My Account and saw the $15 was accepted?? WHAT??? I didn't want the car for $15- isn't this WHY I bid up to $12?? well then I called their customer service- oh dear- they are outsourced and the communication barrier was horrible. The CSR was AGENT [snip]. No help at all- told me to email the Corporate office- went online and typed in my complaint to [snip] and it wouldn't take my email- said I had invalid data??? huh? Is a complaint considered Invalid data?? ok now I sent a letter to Lisa and a BBB complaint on its way.. They are not helpful and the customer service is very robotic- all I heard was I am sorry- per our disclosures we cant.. blah blah blah-
Funny thing is I went on Alamo.com for the same type of car and the dates and I could have gotten it for a total of $50.00 including tax.. Priceline hit me up for $83.99.. they gave me no options to either cancel the page so nothing goes through nor let me bid again of my own accord.. they did the bidding for me..
RIP OFFS- look under Consumer Affairs and they have a class action law suit against Priceline- their stocks fell sharply too... :)
