National Home Protection Complaint - HUGE RIPOFF!! - Washing Machine
OLIVE BRANCH, MISSISSIPPI -- Back last year August of 2008 I received a call from NHP asking me if I wanted to settle for a buyout of 189.00 or a new washing machine. I've had my washer fixed twice under the warranty. I told them I wanted the washing machine and they told me it was on back order and I would receive in 6 weeks. Well, March 2009 I still had not received the washing machine nor could I get anyone to speak to me about it on the phone or respond to my emails. Finally I spoke with someone on April 1st and I told them I wanted the buyout money since I can't seem to get the replacement. I was told it would be sent to me within 30 days and if not to call back. Well, May 1st I called and their answering service said they were closed due to system upgrades and to call back the next business day. This happened 3 days in a row. I called today and was told the number was out of order!!!! I still have 3 months left on the warranty that I paid for. What action can I take when I do not have a phone number that is legitimate nor will anyone respond to email?? Help??? P.S. I never received the 50.00 gift card from Home Depot I was promised upon signing the agreement and paying in full either and no one wanted to help on that either. I've been scammed!!!!
