Ty Ty Nurserys Complaint - Dead Plants sent Via ground shipping

Review by justlooking2c2 on 2009-05-04
Ty Ty Nurserys, of Ty Ty Georgia, has bad reputation for sending trees etc. that have no chance of growing. I ordered 1 fig tree, 2 plum trees and 1 blackberry plant. With shipping, the total cost was $220.62. After planting, and waiting a reasonable peroid of time, the fig tree began to grow, the plum trees and blackberry plant did not. I contacted Ty Ty nursery, and was told that I must dig up the trees, send them back, at my expense, and they would inspect them. If THEY determinded that they were at fault, then I could purchase replacement trees at a 25% discount, but must pay full shipping. I had a state abourist inspect the trees, and write a report. He stated, in the report, that the trees were pruned too severly, and the root system was butchered. ( Tap roots cut, capillary roots distroyed ) I tried to send a copy by fax, without success, and sent a copy twice via registered mail. They refused it both times.

You couldn't just go to a local nursery for these items?
