Spirit Airlines Complaint - Worst Airline Ever To Exist
ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA -- Why is Spirit Airline the worst?
To begin with their customer service reps are professional script readers. They have a list of about 10 responses that they are permitted to say. Not only that, but I am pretty sure that the person I am speaking with has absolutely no intention of helping a customer.
I have had 2 incidences with Spirit Airline, the first, I bought a ticket to Key West, about a month and a half in advanced. My boyfriend bought a ticket using a different airline, they were comparable in price at this point. 7 days before our flight was going to leave, I was curious to see if the price of the flight had increased at all....... come to find out the price of the ticket had decreased by over $115.00 I WAS LIVID. I called Spirit, they said in so many words too bad and we called it a day. I wrote a letter to corporate and heard no response.
Just recently, I bought another ticket using Spirit, I purchased the ticket(first mistake...) come to find out I had selected the wrong arrival/departure dates. Huge mistake on my end, understandable... my boyfriend who is flying with Southwest, called Southwest, made them aware of the issue and it was quickly resolved. I called my trusty customer service rep, and it was like he was reading straight from the fine print below my reservation confirmation "this will cost you an additional $110 dollars". I follow with are you SERIOUS the ticket is $140 all together!!!! I booked the wrong flight 3 days ago, the price on the flights are the same, leaving on the same flight number same time same everything just on a different day. I would completely understand if this were days before the flight were to leave however, this was DAYS after I noticed the mistake. If flights aren't on time or delayed, is Spirit forking over lost wages when people miss work? I don't think so, everyone makes mistakes.
You would think, especially in times like these, airlines would really try and hang on to the customers that the have instead of charging RIDIC, "service fees", and if I am changing my ticket online, there really is no service that is being provided so WHY am I being charged over 80% of what the ticket is worth to begin with?!?!
**** Spirit Airline, DO NOT EVER USE THEM... SPEND THE EXTRA 40-50$ to fly with a REAL CREDIBLE AIRLINE.
