Burger King Complaint - Burger King's Marketing
Since the BK website has no contact methods other than calling a phone number I sent them the below letter about their recent TV ads:
I’m VERY disappointed in the path you’ve chosen to market your products on television in recent weeks.
First let me start with your Commercial using Sponge Bob in a very inappropriate way;
This commercial, obviously aimed at kids (due to the use of Sponge Bob), is vulgar, inappropriate, crude, and just plain lacking morals. How dare you produce and air such a distasteful add on public TV that young children will see?
Second I’d like to mention the recent “Kingon” commercial. 2 guys twisting each other’s nipples? Need I say more?! Again, what are you people thinking when putting ads like this on for young children to see?!
Both these commercials are so vulgar, crude, and morally offensive. I’m shocked they haven’t been pulled off the air, and some folks at BK fired over this.
Since it is obvious to me after seeing 2 separate commercials like this, Burger King has lost its moral compass and chosen an inappropriate offensive path to advertise their products.
I just thought the corporate people should be aware that my family and I (and I’m sure others) will no longer be going there. We’ll go to Wendy’s and McDonalds for our fast food.
