Complaint - DENIAL OF MY INSURANCE

WINFIELD, TENNESSEE -- Dear Attorney General,
As a honest consumer from your state, I felt it was my responsibility to bring to your attention the following incident.
I worked at Wal-Mart for 9 yrs. and carried their short-term and long-term insurance.On Sept.27,1999 I was put on leave of absense by my Dr.(he is a Wal-Mart disability dr)Due to numerous health problems,Spastic Colon,HBP,and arthritis,uncontrollable bowel and the panic attacks the bowel caused, the Dr.advised me that I should not go back to work.I had blood pressure readings at times of 220/138. My bowels became so bad that on Aug.8,2ooo I had to have surgery and have 1/4 of my colon removed and 8-10' of my small intestines[CROHNS].MY bowels are very bad still. I am almost home-bound. I have received my Social Security Disability[with a disability date of Oct 1999. As to date,Hartford Insurance still denies my claim for my short-term and long-term ins.This has been going on a long time and they promised me on May 4,2001 they were going to get it worked out and get me some money in a few days.Now, they are going back on their promise.I am not the only one that this company has treated this way.They have treated me BAD from the first day.I also have been lied to and humiliated by them due to my conditions. I have written to the President of the company,and it has been ignored.

GET a GOOD lawyer and go after them. I know of others this insurance has done this way. GOOD LUCK.

Let them know you mean business. No sick person should be treated this way. Your doctor should know if you are able to work.This upsets me,Hartford.
