RideSafely Complaint - On line Auto Auction

Review by allentak on 2009-05-07
I was the highest bidder The First week of May 2009 after 10pm the next day I was emailed saying that my bid was not excepted. The next week the Toyota Truck came back up for bid at the end of bidding I was the highest bidder. But a funny thing happened the auction was extended for and additional 4 minutes...... I again placed the highest bid... At the close of the auction my screen said that I was successfully the highest bidder and was the winner... I then took a phone call from a friend to tell him the good news... I click back onto the site and the auction had been restarted again and had closed only with enough time for RideSafely to take the highest bid or whatever they did...

Anyway guys Stay away from this company they are thieves and crooks up to no good.

This is one of many reasons not to buy a vehicle online. Feel lucky that they "stole" the auction from you.

When you buy a car online, you don't have that opportunity to inspect the vehicle in person like if you were to buy at a dealership. If the deal actually did go through, you might have ended up with a lemon, and with the possibility that there is an "as-is" clause in the contract, you may have ended up with no recourse.
